In 2007, home prices in Rockland County were stable, actually increasing a bit less than 1% from 2006. We real estate agents were feeling pretty good about the market stability. Maybe the slowdown wouldn't hit us here! However, in the first quarter of 2008, prices in Rockland County dropped 5.8%. Second quarter is down 4.6% from first quarter. Definitely a wake up call.
