All proceeds to benefit Stephanie (Wanamaker) Ulrich and her family in their battle against colon cancer. Stephanie's husband, Dan, is a 20 year volunteer and past chief at the West Nyack Fire Department in Rockland County, NY with my huband, Christopher. Our kids are the same age and play together all the time at Fire Department events. The Ulrich family that has given a lot to the Rockland County community, and it's time for us to show our support in return! Last year's event was packed! (See the pictures above. I couldn't resist a cameo shot of me selling raffle tickets.) We raised over $7500 for a family in need in our community. I hope this year's event is equally successful.

UPDATE: The fundraiser was great. We raised about $5500 dollars for the Ulrich family. As with last year, I went with cash in hand, intent on purchasing holiday gifts for family and friends. Of couse, I ended up with some great stuff for myself, and not so much for anyone else. And so it goes!

Thank you, thank you to Jeff Castle, caterer and manager of the Blaze Room, for the extra effort he put into making this event a success. Thanks, too, to my family and friends who came to show their support.
